Jeff discusses the key to weight loss success he discovered as he journeyed from being pre-diabetic to being healthy and non-diabetic.

On 5/4/2016 I weighed 350ish pounds and was diagnosed with pre-diabetes.

I looked into Gastric Bypass surgery, but I decided against it.

I did Atkins for a while, then I discovered the Ketogenic diet.

For me, that worked.

By 5/4/2017 I lost 110+ pounds.

Since then, I’ve hovered right around 238.

My A1C and other blood marker have been consistently good and my doctor is my greatest cheerleader.

Early in my Keto diet journey, I released that I couldn’t trust food prepared by local restaurants and diners, because I couldn’t really be sure what they were putting in the foods (Sugar, bad oils, etc).

I decided to take matters into my own hands and start to cook for myself.

I should have learned to cook a long time before I did, but I was a front-row student of Youtube videos by people like Joe Duff, Flavcity, Headbangers Kitchen, and Keto Connect and became a great Keto chef and baker.

I love my Instant Pot and use it weekly to make my awesome lemon and garlic chicken thighs (Skin on, btw). We have incorporated the Ninja Foodi into our cooking regiment and sadly, our cast iron skillet has been phased out.
